The festive spring festival was once again celebrated by devotees with great pomp and revelry. On the evening of Vasant Panchami, the celebration began with the planting of the traditional castor oil tree. We commend Baba and Bunty for keeping the fast for 40 days. As the weeks went by, everyone was preparing for the most anticipated full moon night where the holika will be set alit and hence start the colorful festival. Traditional songs (chowtaals, dhamaari, ulara, belvara etc.) were sung.
