Diwali Sewa Distribution 2008
Sunday, 14 December 2008
By Bhagw an's grace we managed to distribute over 650 grocery hampers on the occasion of Diwali. We wish to extend our gratitude to all those who contributed towards this venture and more so to the New York Hindu Milan Mandir for it's appeal on our behalf. From Mara, East Bank Berbice to Skeldon, Corentyne the most deserving were served with groceries. Again our target were senior citizens, single parents and the poor. This year we ventured for the first time into Black Bush Polder serving all the villages namely Lesbeholden, Mibicuri, Mibicuri West, Johanna and Yakusari settlements. Each community's Hindu Temple served as the meeting place for the distributors and recipients.
